No plastic for me doc

I have been very busy this last week finishing up my materials to turn in for my doctoral competency exams. And now I can say I have turned everything in...with as little plastic as possible (I did have to turn in a CD, no two ways about that). Some people put together three-ring binders (plastic of course) to house all the papers we had to submit, but not I. I just put everything in a good old manila envelope. Why use plastic when you don't need to? Besides I'm being judged on the content of my materials not the glossy plastic packaging...right?
