convenience

I've been doing boot camp and marathon training and thus eating more protein.

So I've started eating yogurt every day for breakfast.

Convenient for me, not so much for the environment.

Not only is the yogurt pre-made but it's portion-controlled and I know exactly how much protein I'm getting.

I know that Erin makes yogurt.. I've made yogurt once before but don't know about doing it on a daily basis.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Do it. It's easy. Use a Thermos. Here are the instructions:

I will get around to making yogurt...one of these days. In the meantime, I'm not eating yogurt. It hasn't been a hardship because it wasn't an item I ate every day.

Many yogurt containers are #5 plastic- now recyclable in NYC by taking to Whole Foods and dropping in the Take 5 bin. Not every Whole Foods participates, but I know there are Take 5 bins at Union Square and Columbus Circle, both located at the Customer Service desks.

Make your own! It will only take 30 minutes (max) of your actual time a week. The rest of the time the bacteria is doing all the work. Making yogurt in my thermos lasts me about 10 days. You can get the nutrition info you need off of any plain yogurt container-just know the calories will be less because you won't put corn syrup or sugar in you homemade yogurt-another plus of making your own!
